Quick Facts is the first thing an owner sees after signing in to UpChannels: this week's sales, stock, money, schedule, team and customers at a glance, next to a short list of what needs doing today — each item one click from the work.
It sits at the top of Shortcuts, the page you land on, and has a full-width page of its own under Get Started.
Switch between this week and this month, and between a Monday or Sunday start. Every tile compares the period so far with the same stretch of the last one — up to the same day and time of day — so a Tuesday morning is never measured against a whole week.
Each figure reuses the reader the rest of UpChannels already shows. Sales matches the Sales Report, money in matches the Dashboard’s revenue, stock value matches the Snapshot and profit comes from your Profit & Loss — no second formula that disagrees with the page behind it.
Hover over a tile for a one-sentence definition; click it to open the report or list the number comes from. A “How these numbers are calculated” panel on the Quick Facts page spells out the rule behind every tile and every to-do.
Rows appear only when something is due, most urgent first, and each carries at most two buttons that open the exact list or record to fix. When nothing is due, it says “Nothing needs you today”.
Profit figures are for owners and managers on Pro and Premium; the Team row needs Premium and the right Workforce permissions. A figure someone may not see is left out of what the server sends, not hidden on the screen afterwards.
“Today” and “this week” follow the business time zone set for the store, wherever you sign in from. A store with more than one location gets a picker; tiles that cannot follow it, such as expenses, say “All locations”.
Each tile has a headline, a ▲ or ▼ against the last period, one line of detail and a definition on hover. A row appears only when the store uses that part of UpChannels, so a store with no deliveries never sees a Deliveries tile reading zero, and there are at most sixteen tiles in all.
Plus a strip of the top customer sources — how the people on this period’s sales found you.
Shown when the store buys or keeps stock.
Owners and managers, on Pro and Premium.
Shown when the store delivers or does service work.
Premium, with Workforce switched on and the time clock in use.
Walk-in conversion appears once the store logs its walk-ins.
Two sales numbers, both named. The Sales tile is the value of the sales completed in the period, tax included. The line under it is the money that actually came in, dated by the day it moved. They are labelled differently on purpose: a deposit on a sale not yet completed is money in without being a completed sale.
Estimates say they are estimates. Labour % is clocked hours times pay rates set against money in — not your payroll expense — and the tile says so. Walk-in conversion comes from the walk-in log your staff keep and always carries that caption.
The list is not tied to the week or month switch. Each row appears only when its count is above zero, is coloured by urgency, and opens the exact list or record that clears it — the unpaid sales, the order that is owed a refund, the day on the delivery board, the count to resume.
Rows for features a store does not have, such as deliveries or Workforce, simply do not appear. Books to keep is for owners and managers only.
It is not a second set of books or a new report with its own maths. Every figure is read from the same place as the page it opens, so when a number looks wrong the fix is on that page, and Quick Facts follows. It also does not replace the Smart Dashboard or the reports — it is the short version you read before opening them.
UpChannels Quick Facts is the first screen a small retailer's owner sees after signing in: this week or this month compared with the same stretch of the last one, across sales, operations, finance, schedule and delivery, team and customers, next to a to-do list of what needs doing today, most urgent first, with a button to each fix. Every figure reuses the reader the rest of UpChannels already shows, every tile opens the page its number comes from, and a row appears only when the store uses that feature. It is on every plan; profit figures are for owners and managers on Pro and Premium, and the Team row needs Premium.
UpChannels is an all-in-one platform for small retailers and service businesses — sales, inventory, customers, scheduling, delivery, payments and finance in one system — and a real team that builds your website, runs your ads, and automates the busywork. Every capability below is included in the same subscription, with no integration to wire up between them.
The product moves faster than this page. UpChannels ships updates most weeks, so a description here can lag what is already in the software. Where the two disagree, the running product is the current version — tell us if you find one and we will correct the page.
